January was a flutter of activity for us, we were flung back into the swing of routine far too quickly and the running around began once again.  New Years resolutions were left spinning in confusion and life proceeded between rushing from work to children duties all over again.

Two realisations struck me, or was it that tennis ball to the head!  Winter is the most amazing time in Qatar and you actually don’t want to stop to take a breath, just in case you miss out!

This month saw us going to the Qatar ExxonMobil Men’s Open Tennis Champs, The Vienna Boy’s Choir, a UK Boarding School Seminar, Qatar International Falcon Competition, the Qatar Motor Show, lunches with friends and heading off to Abu Dhabi to Ferrari World for a weekend to celebrate Steve’s birthday.

Ferrari World

Happy Birthday my wonderful husband, who continues to spoil his family every day with immeasurable love.

To top it all off we spent a couple of evenings test driving cars to decide on which would join our family, we scouted for three weeks testing the Volvo, Honda CRV, GMC, Citroen, Mini, BMW, Nissan, bypassed VW and Merc (as we have had those before) and landed up deciding on a Kia Sorento.  Never thought we would buy a Kia, but wow value for money and a wonderful smooth drive. We love it!
My new car!
